Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa made a stunning return to the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL, scoring both goals in Kano Pillars' 2-0 victory over Sunshine Stars on Sunday. In his first match for the club after a nine month absence, Musa opened the scoring just five minutes into the game at Muhammad Dikko Stadium in Katsina, delighting the home crowd.
He netted his second goal early in the second half, securing a commanding lead. Despite missing a penalty in the 70th minute that could have completed his hat trick, Musa’s return was pivotal, helping Kano Pillars snap a two game losing streak. Technical Adviser Usman Sherrif Abdallah commended the team’s resilience and credited Musa’s performance as a catalyst for the win.
